This is a beautiful oil-on-canvas, translucent wave seascape that is so
good you can almost taste the salt spray and feel the wind. The painting is
signed in the lower left corner by Garin. It is an impressive size (painting
measures 30"H x 60"W) and is in excellent condition with no repairs or
restoration.

ABOUT EUGENE GARIN (1922 to 1994):

Eugene Garin was born in 1922 in Odessa, Russia. He is considered by many to
be the most influential contemporary seascape artist. Garin is best known for
his rendition of the transparent wave (-aka- "the Garin Wave"). He was
influenced by the Russian painter Peter Effremovich Fedatov during his youth
in Odessa, Russia and later by the works of I. K. Aivazowsky. He combined
the traditional beauty of European art with his own contemporary techniques
to create beautiful masterpieces. He is listed in the American Art Analog.
